Creative Capture Images is a Photography business owned by Stephen Parker, located in the beautiful Lake District

I discovered my passion for photography back in 1985 when I was just 10 years old. This was when I first visited the beautiful Lake District with my family and took my first Landscape photograph using a 35mm SLR film camera. I then got really serious about photography when I was 16 when I was at college studying to be a mechanic. As part of my course I had the opportunity to select some additional areas to study so, I jumped at the chance to study my passion in the hope that one day I could use it to my advantage. I had hoped to move away from the spanners and greasy overalls and into a role that incorporated the use of photography. However, I didn't focus and push for this hard enough and remained a mechanic for few years. I did however manage to get away from the spanners eventually and moved into the IT industry as a Solution Architect, at least I remained clean and dry, relatively speaking.

IT is where I remain today and it has stood me well for the last 24 years or so. I continued to work in photography but more as a hobby. Then, with the evolution of the DSLR my passion exploded and thats where my technical capability helped, especially with the ability to now post process via applications and software as opposed to in the darkroom with film.

My images are all about the outside world which, unsurprisingly has driven my main areas of focus to Landscape, Seascape, Cityscape and Architecture photography. I just love travelling with my camera and exploring new places. I spend a lot of what spare time I have travelling the UK visiting many outstanding locations from the Cornwall and Devonshire coasts up to the Outer Hebrides and everywhere in between. Having spent most of my life living in Hampshire a lot of my early photography was based around Devon and Cornwall and the surrounding counties. I used to have to travel for hours in the car to get to the Lake District and did so, many times with my now wife Sarah. We soon realised we were spending a lot of our time in the Lakes and a lot of our money getting there and being there so we decided to move there, Penrith in fact. Good broadband was a must as I still have a day job in IT to pay the bills.

So, I now have a wife a Percy pup a Pindie cat and a Boris cat but he passed recently bless him. We have all settled in the Lakes where we spend a lot of our time walking and photographing the wonderful Landscapes that are now on our doorstep.

The added bonus of living here is that I now get to photograph some other areas of outstanding beauty that are more local, such as the Northumberland Coastline, The Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and, and, and..... Not to mention the likes of the magnificent Glencoe and the Isle of Skye. I now have lots more places to explore in order to develop as a photographer.
