Martindale is a valley and civil parish in Cumbria, England, situated within the Lake District National Park between the lakes of Ullswater and Haweswater. The valley is served by a narrow minor road which runs as far as the farm of Dale Head

I decided to take a shot of the Martindale Valley and I wasn’t looking to spend too much time hanging around as the wind was bitter and my fingers were beginning turn to ice. I have seen this shot taken by a few fellow photographers but yet to see it in the snow and decided it would be a nice composition
