Townend Jetty Posts, Lake District, Cumbria - 54°35'42.258" N 2°51'8.525" W

What an incredible amount of rain we had over the weekend. Living close to a beck and the shores of Ullswater we were shocked to see that the water level  had risen so much, the jetty could not be seen. The next day it was a lot calmer and there was some lovely mist on the lake so we headed down at around 07:30. And I was met with the Boathouse Jetty just starting to show itself above the waterline as the water was starting to recede. This prompted me to wonder in to the Lake with the waders on and capture this ethereal image of the Jetty posts emerging from Ullswater.
